Nokia Theatre, Los angeles – In the finale of American Idol season 8, newly appointed judge Kara DioGuardi shows off more than just her vocal chords in a showdown with Katrina ‘Bikini Girl’ Darrell.
Katrina, is better known to AI fans as ‘Bikini Girl‘. A moniker given to her for her bikini-clad audition, what more can catch a guy’s attention than with bikinis? (Let’s just be thankful it’s not ‘Fur coat girl’, else this post wont even exist.) By the way, she won the most outstanding female award. I’m guessing every guy who’s watching AI jaw dropped in surprise. Oh wait, I think it was because of the bikini.
Why didn’t I stand out on the beach? oh wait, this is a singing competition.
Well, after winning the award, it wouldn’t be fair to not let her sing right? after all this is a signing competition. So to be fair to her, the producers let her sing her audition song “Vision of Love”. To be fair to everyone else, they let Kara DioGuardi be her partner to sing it in a duet, apparently they did not let Katrina on in this plan. What else is more touching than to reconcile with the judge you dissed off earlier on stage eh?

So mid song, Kara comes in and gives her a hug. Awwww everything’s alright now right? Wrong.
After doing so, Kara takes over the song in what can be called as a vocal ass-whooping as Katrina looks on doing what she does best, looking on (and maybe looking pretty on her bikini). To end it all, Kara opened up her clothes to reveal her inner bikini. Yep, she wasn’t contended on beating Katrina where on the mic where she was on an advantage, she wanted to beat her in her own game. Bikini mud wrestling (or maybe just looking pretty in a bikini).
Song’s over and everyone’s clapping. Why is she still holding the mic up?
After she flashes her bikini for 2 seconds like an exhibitionist flashing his thing to a bunch of girls (only this time its on national tv, and no one’s complaining as much). She quickly goes to the side with Ryan Seacrest who quickly explains it was a dare and that they’d be paying her favorite charity after the show. (ah, the ideas charity comes up with these days) Then she goes back to hug and kiss Katrina, who looked like someone just put a fur coat over her. (I swear she came up to her just to whisper ‘owned..’ in her ear).

Who thinks Chrystal Bowersox is going to be the 2010 American Idol? I hope so since her most recent performance was fantastic and one of the top performances I have yet heard on the show.

I loved the top 5 Idol group song last night. It was heartbreaking to see Aaron Kelly got rid of but I do believe the other singers were better hence he had to go!

I consider Donald Trump would be a better American Idol judge than Harry Connick Jr. – Trump is not at all afraid to voice what he thinks plus can be as controversial as Simon Cowell.
