Shrimp and Vitamin C Email: Debunking the hoax after 8 years

Recently, I’ve recieved an e-mail with an conspicuous title: “YOU MAY POISON YOURSELF ACCIDENTALLY” . I said to myself: “Whoa there! Why would I do something stupid like that? Is this a warning from the future, or was it because of the stale pizza I ate last night?” It was neither.  Here’s what I got:

shrimp-hoax

WTF, I thought to myself, several quick questions came into my mind, like:  ”Has this appeared on the news, Do people still believe this kind of messages, are people actually forwarding this stuff, and what the hell is ‘hrismp’?” It was not really something I’d take seriously, and like every scare you see on the internet, it’s bound to be true right? No, wait there’s this thing called ‘news’. And it doesn’t say shit about this stuff.  The world has to know, we have to forward it! Yeah right….

Face it, shrimps + Vitamin C is not the new A(H1N1) virus,  and I’d smack the first person to crack a pr0n joke at this.

So in my search for the eternal truth about this cover story, I decided to go seek the help of the wise man, Google. A quick search found me the word I was looking for: HOAX. And this mail was circulating since 2001! Wow, someone must’ve missed out on all the news these past 8 years, because up to now, NO ONE has died from the said conditions above and especially not from Taiwan (we have reports that it may have produced a weird smelling fart but it wasn’t really worth mailing out).

So to save you from the labor that is searching google and spare you from the medical gibberish of the mail, I’ll just tell you flat out that this e-mail is a HOAX and mustn’t be taken seriously! If you want to forward something, then forward the link to this page to everyone so that this story can come to an end after 8 long years and that guy/girl you like will call you up later. Otherwise you will have bad luck for the next 8 years of your life!

not to take care from today it is just a false exposition of media

arsenic in seafood and shrimp and fish that is existed in the polluted water with arsenic peta oxide As205 thaugt it is more stable than arsenous trioxide
but both of them are highly toxic
that is true that ascorbic acid(vitamin c) reduce the form penta oxide for trioxide which is 5 times more toxic
we have to know that the most antioxidant agent do the same action to reduce arsenic pentaoxide for form arsenic trioxide
we eat in general tomatos—spices—lemon—-and other vegitable with seafood which contain also antioxidant
so not only the vitamin c tab do that
don’t worry take your food healthy lol
