Resident evil 5 has become the best selling single title in the series, within its first three weeks of release, the game sold over 2 million units worldwide and became the highest selling game of the franchise in the United Kingdom. As of June 1, 2009, Resident Evil 5 has sold 5 million copies worldwide since launch.

With the PC release, it is expected to do even better, while the leak to torrent reflects the popularity in numbers of download, it takes a bite on the industry but not as much as one would think. Current trends find that people are more willing to pay for the game after they have tested it with a ‘demo’ of game. And I’m not talking about the one that expires after 60 minutes.

Multiple torrents released

It seems like everyone wanted a piece of the action since there have been many, and I mean many releases but it all points back to RELOADED for uploading the original and cracking the game. I has spawned in well over 15 sites and having their own releases, many requiring registration for he private trackers.
So how does it fare..? I honestly don’t know yet, I don’t really encourage downloading the game illegally and end up not buying it, I hope you guys can support the developers and purchase this great game!
