Now that the iPad is here and very available, now what to do next? The anticipation is over and now what?! Woosh calm yourselves down. iPad was released last Saturday, April 3, 2010 and reports say it has sold over 300,000 units on the day of its release. Blimey! Some people are just itching to get rid of their other gadgets that’s for sure!
If by now you don’t have a clue what an iPad is (probably living under a rock), uh no it’s not used for women with monthly periods, nope it’s not for dance dance revolution either, it’s apple’s mind blowing gadget that they have labeled “the ultimate surfing experience” and then some.
It’s almost a netbook minus the keyboard and replaced with a virtual one and then minus the webcam, minus the multi-tasking, minus the uh.. I could go on and on? As I was saying, it’s almost a netbook and almost a tablet, except it isn’t. Then what the hell is it you ask?! Well, by definition by cnet:
The iPad is a touch-screen tablet computer, roughly the size of a magazine, with three models that connect to the Internet strictly over Wi-Fi (16GB for $499, 32GB for $599, 64GB for $699) and three that use a combination of Wi-Fi and AT&T’s 3G wireless (16GB for $629, 32GB for $729, and 64GB for $829–pay-as-you go for the data subscription).
The iPad runs the same software found on Apple’s popular iPhone and iPod Touch. Apple calls this software the iPhone OS, and it’s generally regarded as one of the most successful operating systems designed for use with touch-screen devices. Unlike conventional computer OS software, designed around the mouse and the keyboard, the iPhone OS responds only to touch input and is generally capable of running only one application at a time.
I know, blah blah blah… To sum up what ^^ said, iPad is built for those who crave entertainment in their lives but want it all in the palm of their hands. What entertainment? We’re talking about Movies, Games, Books the entire world wide web given to you in High Definition. Yes, that’s right, High Definition. And to access them all is just by the touch of your finger or maybe fingerssss…
We don’t leave behind productivity of course like e-mail, notes and keynote which can be purchase separetly. iPad has opened up limitless possibilities that no other gadget today can do but somehow still limited in some ways due its flaws. We’ve all heard it right? We’ll get to that part.
You’ve probably read tons of reviews over the iPad and now before y’all get excited grabbing one of the best gadgets made today, let’s take a sneak peak of the Pros and Cons of the iPad and it might lead you to a decision if you must or must not take one home.
